Louella House

Wayne, Pennsylvania

Boasting a Victorian, Second Empire façade that envelops 21st century interiors, Louella House is truly unique. Gate 17 Architecture was in charge of converting 25 apartments to 12 luxury condominiums. Weaving old world grace and style with contemporary design and function, the 4 unit plans range in size from 1,498 square feet to 2,184 square feet and feature airy 2-3 bedroom floor plans.

Part of the design challenge was maintaining the dramatic, architectural window style of the building, which was carefully replicated by Pella. Patio swing doors, individual oversized porches and rooftop terraces add an unusual amenity for a condominium lifestyle. Each home has thoughtfully designed “top chef” kitchens, state-of-the-art mechanical systems, and sound-engineered ceilings and floors. The incredible green-roofed underground garage with 2-car per unit spaces has direct building access. Large storage rooms for each home are located in the Lower Level.
